This route brings you closer to the cultural and landscape heritage of the valley known as La Vall de Pop. Surrounded by terraced fields with vineyards, olive trees, almond trees and annual crops, the trail leads you to Coll de Rates, which is a mountain pass that was historically frequented by bandits.

The route begins from the street called Carrer del Ravalet, located next to the town hall square. From here, head towards the River Xaló and, a few meters before getting there, take a deviation so as to cross it, either by going across the riverbed if there is no water or walking on the road.

Continue along a paved track until the hermitage of Sant Joan Mosquera. While you are following the signs, the sight of a carob tree supported by a stone pillar indicates that you are on the right path. Continue walking until you reach Camí de Tàrbena, which was an old communication path between Tàrbena and Alcalalí.

After reaching the summit, the path links up with Carrascar de Parcent and leads you to the Coll de Rates viewpoint. From here, begin the descent towards Parcent along Camí de les Revoltes or Camí de la Pansa, until you reach Camí dels Pous which leads you to the road that goes to Alcalalí.

Once here, head along Camí dels Molins amongst orange groves and almond trees, towards your last stop, which is the hermitage of Sant Joan Mosquera. This hermitage building was part of an old Moorish farmhouse complex and, around the year 1600, it was one of the busiest hermitages in the region during the annual festivity celebrated on the 24th of June.
