During the month of February, the almond trees of Alcalalí bloom and the fields are like a huge pink and white blanket, converting the area into a unique and wonderful landscape. This is the period of the year when “Feslalí, Alcalalí in bloom” is usually celebrated.
It is recommended to plan to do the routes related to this village during February, so as to take advantage of the beauty of the flowering period, but you can do the walks at any time of the year due to the fact that the wonderful orography of the valley, its species of flora and fauna and its agricultural traditions are aspects which never disappear.
This low-difficulty route is less than 4 km long and runs entirely along paved agricultural roads, with just 30 metres of altitude difference.
It is a partially circular route that takes you from the centre of Alcalalí to the hermitage of Sant Joan de Mosquera, and then back to the village again. The whole route goes along fields full of almond trees which are overflowing with colours.
This is the perfect route if you want to enjoy the flowering of the almond trees and get to know the municipality of Alcalalí.
