This route, also known as Camí Vell de València, is a reminiscence of the path that the farmers of the Marina area had to walk along when they emigrated north, twice a year, to work in the rice fields.
Advance through sections of the mountain range known as Serra de la Mallada Verda and walk through the area of Font de la Mata, surrounded by the typical landscapes of the region.
The starting point is at the information panel located in the parking lot of the municipal cemetery. From here, begin to walk to the left of the panel until you reach a crossroads with a signpost that marks the direction that you have to follow so as to reach the spring called Font de la Mata.
During the first kilometre you pass by the rock locally known as Roca de la Salve and you have to keep walking until the paved road turns into a dirt track. Along the way, go through two tunnels and after approximately 2.5 km you arrive at a signpost that indicates the path to be taken so as to ascend towards Font de la Mata.
A steep slope leads you to a dirt track with a crossroads that takes you to the Font de la Mata spring. Once you have visited the spring, return to the crossroads and take the path that passes to the right of some ruins and a cistern, so as to head towards the top of Serrellars.
The track becomes a path and after a kilometre and a half you have to turn right to climb to the highest point of Serrellars.
Once at the peak, begin the descent towards the mountain pass of La Plana del Sobirà and, following the path on the right, you soon arrive at the beginning of the dirt track which then becomes an asphalt road that leads you back to the municipal cemetery.
