La Vall de Gallinera
As shown on the website of the local cultural association called “Unió Cultural d’Amics de la Vall de Gallinera” (1), in 1992 the association acquired the old olive mill known as Almassera dels Moltó. The building needed major restoration work to become functional again and for this reason all the resources of the association, both human and financial, were allocated to that end. On Saturday 8th of April 1995, as part of the events of the II Festa de La Cirera (Cherry Festival), it was inaugurated as an Ethnological Museum and headquarters of the aforementioned cultural association. The building houses the equipment and machinery that was used in the past to obtain olive oil: an animal-drawn mill, presses, etc.
It also has a significant collection of tools related to the preparation and storage of the famous golden liquid. In addition, other tools from the past regarding work and rural life can be seen on display.
