This circular route gives you the opportunity to enjoy privileged views of Orba, Serra de Migdia, Serra de Segària and even the coast, as well as the Pop and Laguar valleys, the Castle of Dénia and the Montgó Natural Park, amongst others. In addition, you get the chance to delve into local history and discover the remains of the so-called Castellet, used in the 17th century by the Moors who rebelled against the expulsion decree issued by the Spanish monarchy.
The trail starts from the square known as Plaça d'Espanya and then passes in front of the town hall and crosses the road after going along the street called Carrer Xopena.
Surrounded by orange and almond trees, you advance along a dirt track until you turn right at the first fork and then you have to continue walking until you get to the second fork, where you have to take the path on the right that takes you to Castellet.
Along the way you pass by the Portet de Murla esplanade, where there is a wonderful panoramic view, from Orba to the east of the coast.
Throughout the walk you can enjoy the beautiful Mediterranean vegetation that surrounds you, such as olive trees, pines, prickly pear cactuses, red valerian and verbena, to name just a few of the typical plants.
Descend along the same path and during this section of the route you have to be careful with any possible loose stones on the trail and the steep slope that you come across at various points of the descent. Continue going downwards until you reach a forest track. By taking right turns at the next two forks in the path and advancing along this same path, you arrive again at Plaça d'Espanya.
