La Vall de Gallinera
La Bassa de la Llacuna is a pond formed by the constant accumulation of clay in a depressed area that collects rainwater and conserves it throughout the year.
It is located in a flat zone, surrounded by mountains. It is an area that accumulates clay from decalcification processes and, thanks to this, it has become a very interesting place that makes it worthwhile to sit down and admire the surroundings.
This linear route has a length of 5.91 km.
The trail starts at the entrance to Benirrama along a path that goes off to the left. From here, go towards the road, cross it and to the right there is a path that leads you to the riverbed of the River Gallinera. Cross this path and take the path on the left which goes up in a zigzag manner. Soon you get to the Peó corral on the sunny side of the valley and then to a flat area when you are already within the Botana corral.
Continue along the route until you reach a forest track and then a crossroads where on the right the path permits you to return to Benirrama and going left, which is the path you have to take, you get to another crossroads and then take the path you find on your right.
At this point, you can enjoy some privileged views of the entire Llacuna area. Follow the track and, before it ends, the markers indicate that you can reach the pond known as Bassa de la Llacuna by way of a path on the right.
