La Vall d’Alcalà
This circular route is 9.3 km long.
The route starts from the square in Alcalà de la Jovada. From here, walk along the street called Carrer de la Torre and link up with the path that leads you to the aqueduct that once carried water to the village of Alcalà. Be very careful when crossing it.
Further on, you get to the forest track that leads you to the abandoned settlement called Saltes. Deviate to the right along a path that takes you to see some stone pools carved into the rock.
Return along the track until you reach the forest ranger service's airplane runway. At about 100 metres away from this point you can see the icehouse known as Nevera de Dalt. Next, descend along the track until you reach a path on the left which takes you directly to the recreational area next to another icehouse which is called Nevera de Baix.
From here, you can return to Alcalà de la Jovada along a path that passes next to the washing place.
