El Ràfol d’Almúnia
This building was commissioned by Mayor Aurelio Naya Ferrer in the 1950s.
Although it is currently not used, building it was essential for the daily life of the village because, before its existence, women had to go all the way to the irrigation canals in order to wash the laundry.
The water that made the washing place work was, and still is, that of the well known as Pou de Sant Francesc de Paula, built shortly before the washing place was constructed, with the aim of guaranteeing a basic supply of water for the inhabitants.
