This cave was discovered in 1919 by José Vicente Mengual, also known as Tio Rull. The cave was opened to the public for the first time during the 1960s, and the facilities were renovated in 1995. The visitor can enjoy a cavern full of stalactites and stalagmites that create shapes with various colours, with a geological age of between 23.5 and 5.3 million years.
It is one of the best-known caves situated along the coast of the region of Alicante, receiving thousands of visitors every year. The circular route is a path which is more than 200 metres long that goes along stairs and corridors. It is a guided route which is suitable for all audiences.
Opening hours:
- From April to September: every day from 10:30am to 8:30pm.
- From November to February: every day from 11am to 5pm.
- From March to October: every day from 11am to 6:30pm.
