La Vall d’Alcalà
This route is practically circular and is 9.5 km long.
The walk starts in Beniaia and you have to go along a paved road until you reach the first uninhabited area, Els Benialins. Here you can imagine what this place was like when it was inhabited and learn about its history.
Continue advancing and soon you get to the spring known as Font de Beniaia, where you can see a washing place. From here go to the abandoned village of La Cairola, one of the uninhabited areas that is best preserved today, where you can see walls and arches that give you a good idea of what this village was like in ancient times.
Continue along the route until you come across the deserted area of La Roca. Here you can also see walls and arches that are preserved from when there was life in this settlement.
Return to the path so as to go back to the starting point of the route. Throughout the route you can observe cherry trees and olive trees.
You arrive at the starting point if you follow the track and get to the CV-712 road, whereupon you only have to cross the asphalt.
