Xàbia
Camí de l'Alba is a network of routes that head towards Santiago de Compostela and that go through various villages and towns in the regions of Marina Alta and La Safor, amongst others, until reaching Almansa. You can enjoy various types of landscapes and visit the settlements that are included in this route.
The first section links up Xàbia with Jesús Pobre.
The route starts from the square called Plaça Adolfo Suárez, where the emblem of Santiago is located. Go along Carrer Crist del Mar and continue along the avenue known as Avinguda del Port until you reach a roundabout where you can see a boat on display to one side. At this point, take Camí Vell de la Mar and, when crossing a small bridge, first turn right at the fork towards Camí de Bolufer and then, when you reach Camí Calderón, go left. You soon arrive at the avenue called Avinguda d'Alacant and from here you have to go through the historic centre of Xàbia, passing next to the parish church of Sant Bertomeu and through Plaça de l'Ajuntament and Carrer Major, and then along the street called Carrer Dr. González until you get to Plaça del Convent. From here, go up Carrer dels Oms and, after a few metres, turn left to walk along Carrer Nou until you reach Carrer Jurados, and then turn right towards Camí dels Castellans.
Continue along this road, walking for 2.7 km along the slopes of Montgó and, when you reach the street called Carrer Montgó, turn left. About 200 metres later, cross the road and take Camí Vell de Pedreguer, passing next to an ancient olive tree and an ancient carob tree, until you reach Jesús Pobre.
