Marines de bruc, brolles silicícoles. Pinars i garrigues amb romaní i timonedes. Garrigues i boscos. Features: Shrub that can grow into a small tree, with oval, glossy leaves with small teeth on the edge. It can be mistaken for a Holm Oak or a Phillyrea, but to be sure, look at the leaf against the light and see that the edge has a small translucent line. To distinguish it from Rhamnus ludovici-salvatoris, the teeth on the leaf are pointing upwards, whereas on the latter they are perpendicular. It flowers in early spring. Origin: Mediterranean area.
