ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES
Through educational projects focused on sustainability and environmental conservation, the aim is to prepare students to make responsible decisions in the future, affecting the good of the next generations. These projects not only provide knowledge about the environment, but also empower students to be agents of change in our communities, fostering values such as responsibility, social awareness and informed decision making.
This educational effort is not limited to students, but involves families and the whole community. This can lead to the creation of a more sustainable and environmentally friendly culture.
In this context, Macma has developed an environmental education programme for schools in and around Marina Alta. Through educational workshops with didactic material on the local flora and fauna, with the possibility of downloading them from our website, in order to promote environmental awareness among young people. In addition, specific actions have been carried out, such as talks in municipalities and schools, as well as the dissemination of the project through content on the tourist website "Discovering the Marina Alta".
The programmed activities and contents:
- Discovering aromatic plants
- Building insect hotels
- The creation of pumps
- Practical experiences on soil erosion.
Participants:
- Castell de Castells 19 September 2023: 25 students aged 3 years - 11 years.
- La Vall de Laguar 22 September 2023: 41 students aged 3 years - 11 years.
- Orba, 27 September 2023: 20 students de 4 y 5 de primary.
- Sagra, 29 September 2023: 20 students of all ages.
This practical approach aims not only to inform but also to involve students directly with the environment, enhancing their understanding and commitment to environmental issues.
