The cove known as Cala de La Barraca is one of the coastal locations with the most personality, not only in Xàbia but in the entire Valencian Community. In this pebble cove, there are ample opportunities to enjoy snorkelling. The route opts for the northern area of the cove.
When entering the water, it is possible to observe that the rocky platform is segmented: its continuity is interrupted by fractures that give the seabed a grid-like appearance. Moving further into the sea, the platform deepens, and rocks and rocky tongues emerge, resembling submerged islets that can be explored. These areas lead to oceanic seagrass (posidonia) zones and sandy areas. (1)
