Features: The holm oak is a highly branched shrub with rather hard, sharp-edged leaves. It can be distinguished from the holm oak not so much by the thorns on the leaves, but by the fact that the underside is green, whereas the holm oak is grey due to the hairs that cover this part of the leaf.
