Flowering time: May and June. Vital forms: Macrophanerophyte (Macrofaneròfit). Habitats: Groves of holm oak, kermes oak and cork oak. Rocky crevices and cliffs. Features: Shrub that lives hanging in the crevices of rocky walls. It is a deciduous shrub in winter, which distinguishes it from the mastic tree, but also from its leaves, which are much larger and have one terminal leaflet (imparipinnate) instead of two (paripinnate).
